“From a leader’s perspective, the most serious betrayal has to do with thwarting human potential, with quenching the spirit, with failing to deal equitably with each other as human beings.”

Questions
Betrayal is a serious word; one we don’t much like to talk about. But the effects of betrayal on both the perpetrator and the victim are long-lasting, deep, and sometimes irreversible.
Perhaps now is a good time to reflect upon these questions:
What does it mean to thwart human potential? To quench the spirit?
Where have you observed these in action, and what were the effects?
Are others treating you equitably?
Are you treating others equitably?
What can you do to ensure that you’re not thwarting someone else’s potential?
Conversely, what can you do to treat others more equitably and to encourage their potential? How can you be a gift to their spirit?
