Ryan Gutierrez
Director of Operations
Biography
Ryan Gutierrez serves as the Program Specialist at the De Pree Center for Leadership. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies from Point Loma Nazarene University (2011), an MA in Theology from Fuller Seminary (2016), and is currently pursuing a PhD in New Testament at Fuller under Dr. Joel B. Green (exp. 2024). His proposed dissertation will read the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts to cultivate practices that lead to peaceful relations with the land and all who live on it.
Before coming to the De Pree Center, Ryan served as the Director of Operations for Fuller’s Vocation and Formation office, running numerous programs and initiatives all dedicated to helping seminary students develop the capacity for vocational discernment and agility within the increasingly unstable world of work and ministry. He has also participated in local congregations in various capacities, including serving as a board member, running an inclement weather shelter for the homeless of San Diego, and leading a ministry to sick and elderly congregation members who are unable to attend regular church services.
