Steven Chaparro

Biography

Steven A. Chaparro is a multi-disciplinary storyteller who speaks and writes about leadership, strategy, and design.  He has a background in architecture, real estate development, financial advisory, and organizational leadership. Trained at the USC School of Architecture, he has held key leadership roles at WLC Architects, K. Hovnanian Enterprises, Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors, Merrill Edge, and Storm Western Development.

Most recently as the Vice President of Strategic Design for Visioneering Studios, Inc., he leads the firm in the areas of strategy, storytelling, and business development. He is best known as a passionate communicator, a sought-after advisor, and a strategic thinker. He has been invited to speak on conference stages across the country such as the STORY Gathering (Nashville, TN), COLLYDE Summit (Zarephath, NJ), River Valley Conference (Minneapolis, MN), and The Placemakers Lab (Columbus, OH).

In his talks, he challenges the status quo with bold leadership and disruptive thinking, yet approaches challenges with the heart of a teacher and guide. Steven has two elementary-aged children who constantly surprise him with their creativity and intelligence, and a wife who has loved him for over fourteen years. Together, they live in the urban context of Long Beach, CA as recovering suburbanites.
