Biography
DeLano J. Sheffield is a senior pastor and employer engagement manager for Great Jobs KC (formerly KC Scholars) where he fosters connections between people on the fringes and employers in the Kansas City Metro. He advocates for the hiring of people who would not normally have opportunities. DeLano is also on the frontlines of the advances of the fourth industrial revolution and coaches leaders on diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. He began his career as an architectural engineer and went on to attend seminary. He is now the pastor of the historic Metropolitan Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. In every part of his life, DeLano finds ways to infuse theology into vocation and strengthen practical connections of faith and daily activity. DeLano lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
