Biography
Steve Sawyer recently retired after working 40+ years at Woodruff-Sawyer & Co., one of the largest independent insurance brokerage firms in the country. Steve played key roles in fostering the company’s growth and shaping the corporate culture. Throughout his career, he focused on sales and managing client relationships as well as the mentoring and coaching of his colleagues in effective business development strategies.
Steve has been involved in various ministries and non-profits over many years serving in hands-on roles as well as in board and leadership positions. He continues to have a passion for encouraging and mentoring others, both formally and informally. He and his wife, Meritt, live in Menlo Park, CA, and have three grown children. He enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, following sports, and travel. He and Meritt are on a quest to visit all the national parks.
