Biography
Sam Van Eman is a staff resource specialist with CCO Experiential Designs (XD). His primary work involves creating and facilitating transformative opportunities for college students. This unique approach to ministry serves as the backdrop for his book, Disruptive Discipleship: The Power of Breaking Routine to Kick-Start Faith, Hope, and Love.
“I am compelled by the CCO’s desire to help students develop their Christian faith in every area of life,” Sam says. “So we might use a backpacking trip to promote interdependency, which students can then apply in their residence halls back at school. Or we’ll discuss the Good Samaritan story and how Jesus might retell it with them—in their future careers—as the Good Samaritan. What a thrill to see the light bulbs come on in students’ minds!”
