Too often women are inculturated to set the table rather than sit at the table in their work. We believe it’s time for that to change. We believe that it is time to band together to quiet the voices that tell us not to take a seat at the various tables God calls us to sit at.
This workbook is organized into the following four sections:
- Naming that women often battle internal voices about sitting at the table, in part because of a historically incomplete understanding of woman as helper.
- Explaining how this problem has manifested in work for American women.
- Reframing a biblical understanding of woman as helper.
- Actions for the way forward.
Stories, exercises, and reflection questions are provided to guide you along the way.
