Workshop Details
Most church leaders today recognize that we are undergoing an unprecedented change. Pastors and Christian leaders are mostly trained to be teachers and chaplains, but a rapidly changing, continually disruptive world requires that they also become skilled at leading change in their organizations where there are few best practices. How do you lead change in a way that is attuned to the needs of your community, while also staying true to the mission God has called your church to embody?

If you find yourself overwhelmed by the challenges, you want to learn to lead real adaptive change. In a free workshop in Livermore, CA on October 23, Tod Bolsinger, Executive Director of Fuller Seminary’s Church Leadership Institute, and Tom Sine, co-author of 2020s Foresights, will offer training and a roadmap that can help you take important steps towards more impactful ministry in a radically changed world. The workshop will include three sessions with corresponding practices covering 1) the principles of adaptive leadership, 2) learning how to identify the pain points of your community today and in the future, and 3) leading towards transformation.

Though the event is free, spaces are limited and registration is required so we have an accurate headcount. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Additionally, each attendee will receive a complimentary copy of Tod Bolsinger’s newest book, Tempered Resilience: How Leaders are Formed in the Crucible of Change. Solo leaders are welcome to attend, but teams of 2-4 are highly encouraged.
