Giving Tuesday 2023

This year, I am struck by the hard questions you’ve brought to us. Whether it’s the emerging leader who asked me, “How do you know what to do when you don’t know what to do?” Or the team leader who told us, “I’ve got to let go of half my team because my boss wouldn’t deal with reality. What does faith look like here?” Or the senior leader who said, “I am so excited about mentoring but I have no idea what this generation is actually up against.”

At the De Pree Center, we care so much about your big questions. Everything we do is geared toward helping you wrestle with them and respond faithfully to God in light of them.

This year, we estimate that we have served over 50,000 people. That includes you. Maybe you’ve gone through our Road Ahead cohort, or done our Third Third class with your small group at church. Maybe you read our Life for Leaders devotional or just like getting the emails from us. While we get to hear from a lot of you, what I wouldn’t give to hear questions from each of you. Know that we are holding space for them all the same.

This is the season of giving. In fact, today is “Giving Tuesday” here in the United States. So, I encourage you to join me in supporting the organizations that are tending to your big questions—whether or not that’s De Pree Center. And if you feel led to give to us today, thank you. Your gifts really do make all the difference as we seek to come alongside leaders as they wrestle with big questions and seek to respond faithfully to God.

PS: Will you join me in giving thanks for what God is doing in and through our institution? By the way, Fuller Seminary has produced a wonderful annual report this year. I’m glad to make each of you aware of the impact of our institution in this way. We are highlighted on page 22!
